Welwyn Garden City Centenary Walk (12.6 miles / 20.20km - Moderate - Booking Required)
This walk is for up to 30 people, including the leader.
This 20.20km walk was established to celebrate the centenary of Welwyn Garden City in 2020, passing through the countryside on the fringes of the town and taking in a pleasant mix of scenery, including woodland, lakes and fields. We start at the feet of the Digswell Viaduct before passing through Tewin Bury Farm and heading towards the Commons Nature Reserve. We’ll stop for a picnic in Stanborough Park, overlooking one of its lakes. We’ll take in the elegant Brocket Hall mansion before passing through the Sherrardspark Wood Local Nature reserve and returning to our start point.
Dogs are welcome, on a lead.
