Knebworth, Mardley Heath & Codicote (7 miles/11km - Leisurely, Booking Required)

This walk is for up to 25 people, including the leader.

A walk through some attractive areas of woodland and farmland in Hertfordshire, with a few moderate hills.

We will start at Knebworth Station, and follow the railway line, before passing through woodland at Mardley Heath Local Nature Reserve.

After this, we will cross a bridge over the A1 Motorway, before passing through Pottersheath and then crossing over farmland, where we will get some good views looking over Codicote.

At Codicote, we will stop at the village green for lunch, with the option of visiting The Goat pub for refreshments and a comfort break.

After this, we will head back east, passing more farmland, then will cut through New Wood, before arriving back at Knebworth, with the option of a stop at The Station pub.

There may be some mud on the route, so please bring a change of footwear if intending to join the pub stops.

Dogs are welcome on a lead.
