Introductory Walk: West of Stevenage Walk (5 miles / 8km - Easy, Booking Required)

This walk is for up to 30 people, including the leader.

A short circular walk through countryside to the west of Stevenage. As an introductory walk, this may be an ideal choice if you're new to Stag Walkers and wish to try us out. Existing members are also encouraged to attend and welcome any new walkers.

Starting from Stevenage Leisure Park, we pass though a foot tunnel and suddenly leave the built up areas and emerge into Norton Green common, a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Passing through woodland and fields, we will gradually curve around to re-enter Stevenage in the leafy suburb of Symonds Green, before making our way back to the Leisure Park.

As this is a short walk, there will not be a lunch stop. We should get back to the Leisure Park at around 12:30.

Dogs are welcome, on a lead.

Booking your place: If you would like to join, you must book in advance using the Stag Walkers Meetup group - see Notes for how to book & what to bring. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking so that someone else can take your place.

Please do not turn up for a walk without booking, as places are limited.

Unless you opt in to further communications, we will only use contact information you provide to get in touch about the walk.

Please car-share or use public transport if possible. To offer a lift or ask for one from a fellow walker, please use the Meetup event page.
