Breathtaking Chilterns - A Favourite Part of the Hills

Hosted by Stag Walkers as part of the Autumn Chilterns Walking Festival, taking place 14th-29th October. 15 places will be available to book through Stag Walkers and 15 through the Festival website.

This circular walk explores the Chiltern Escarpment between Wendover and Princes Risborough. This is without doubt one of the most magnificent parts of the Chilterns, with chalk hills, incredible scenic views and ancient woodland, all steeped in history.

There is too much worth a visit in the area for one walk but we've tried to include as much as possible to ensure the journey is worthwhile! Highlights include several famous hills such as Coombe Hill, Pulpit Hill and Whiteleaf Hill, vast ancient beech woods and some iconic paths such as the Cradle Footpath and the path across the front lawns of Chequers, the Prime Minister's country retreat.

Near the end of the walk we have the option to stop for a drink at The Plough at Cadsden, made famous after a visit by a certain Conservative prime minister and the President of China.

This walk is not suitable for dogs.
