Bayford, Epping Green & Little Berkhamsted (10 miles / 16 km - Moderate, Booking Required)

This walk is for up to 25 people, including the leader.

An enjoyable walk of Hertfordshire classics: undulating countryside, woodland, streams, pretty villages, water towers, churches, impressive houses, farm animals, nice views, pubs and cake!

Starting and ending at Bayford station, we'll explore tracks and woods on the way to Epping Green before stopping for our packed lunches in the lovely village of Little Berkhamsted. The village shop sells great cakes, baked goods and much more besides - the bakewell tart being particularly recommended! We then have the option of a drink in the Five Horseshoes pub before heading off in search of the second half of our walk, on a winding route following some of the most interesting local paths.

Given the time of year and terrain it could get rather muddy, so if we've had rain, pack your waterproof boots and get ready to use them in earnest!

Dogs are welcome on a lead, but please be aware that there will be some road walking.

For information about walking with the group, including our dog policy, please visit the Stag Walkers website.
